In mid-2020, NPD Limited embarked on the Rwamagana Urban Road Project II, a 16-month project that has significantly enhanced connectivity, reduced traffic congestion, and improved safety for both motorists and pedestrians in and around Rwamagana City in Rwanda’s Eastern province.

The project has transformed the urban infrastructure of Rwamagana, which is one of the designated six secondary cities in the country, by upgrading and expanding the road network to spur economic activity.

The completed infrastructure helped in promoting economic growth, eased transportation of both people and commodities, and has led to general improvement of the quality of life for residents of Rwamagana.

By fostering a more efficient and accessible urban environment, the project supports sustainable development and strengthens the social and economic fabric of the Rwamagana community, which has inevitably had an impact on the general economy of the country.
